Dani 04:10
Oh I'm afraid to open my eyes I know she'll be there on his mind Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Oh Dani she is following me She is tearing apart my sanity Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Oh I know you must be lonely I know its hard to let go of all that you've known But, you've had years together to work this through All that happened is you both became unglued Seems like you missed the pieces too Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Leave my man to me Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Oh Dani won't you leave my man Leave my man to me Oh are you coming or going, Dani, I need to know Cause he's not strong enough to let you go Oh are you coming or going, Dani, I need to know Cause he's not strong enough to let you go Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Leave my man to me Oh Dani won't you leave my man to me Oh Dani won't you leave my man Leave my man to me

(T)Ruth 05:05
Little Ruthie had a good run Always elbow deep at the end of a trail of crumbs Little Ruthie drew lines, time is all she took If you can’t read between ‘em, you don’t play by her book Little Ruthie where you hiding Come on out there’s people dying Misled by the tread of phoney facts What they’re selling, I ain’t buying Patriotic branded violence She’s not found on a clearance rack Until they’re toothless Lying through their teeth, they’re ruthless Last seen handcuffed eating pavement Whispering names turned political statements She’s been sneered at and tear gassed, fed gag orders But the thing is Ruth don’t need us and we need more of her Little Ruthie where you hiding Come on out there’s people dying Misled by the tread of phoney facts What they’re selling, I ain’t buying Patriotic branded violence She’s not found on a clearance rack Until they’re toothless Lying through their teeth, they’re ruthless Little Ruthie - where’d you run and hide, Ruth Little Ruthie - they serving up some cooked proof Little Ruthie - saying bon appetit Little Ruthie - lying through their crooked teeth Little Ruthie - where’d you run and hide, Ruth Little Ruthie - you’re missing from the ballot booth Little Ruthie - propaganda running loose Little Ruthie - best tighten up and find Ruth Little Ruthie where you hiding Come on out there’s people dying Misled by the tread of phoney facts What they’re selling, I ain’t buying Patriotic branded violence She’s not sold She’s not sold She’s not sold on a clearance rack

Poster 04:22
There’s an old house in a river town Will it remain when I return It may wear down but likely sell for thousands So I may as well watch it burn Will my nephews know their uncle Or will I just live in their mothers’ words But with words afew I’ll teach them something The unconditional is a ramble’s curse Keep me rolled up in a poster or hang me on your wall Write me in a folk song in your notebook, you can play me down the hall Keep me locked up in your sock drawer or prop me on your desk Take me walking in your pocket, change don’t pay without the past There’s a new house on a hillside I traded a river for an ocean bay I have a garden now and a fulfilled eye But that river still flows in my veins It’s a new line in an old book For these vagabond thoughts are just retold But in due time after the long route They are mine to find, mine to behold Keep me rolled up in a poster or hang me on your wall Write me in a folk song in your notebook, you can play me down the hall Keep me locked up in your sock drawer or prop me on your desk Take me walking in your pocket, change don’t pay without the past Keep me rolled up in a poster or hang me on your wall Write me in a folk song in your notebook, you can play me down the hall Keep me locked up in your sock drawer or prop me on your desk Take me walking in your pocket, change don’t pay without the past

about

"Live From Martin's" is Tall Folk's debut release. At a bach nestled in the rolling, coastal, South Island hills known as the Catlins, these songs were recorded live on Michael Morris' time-worn analog desk. One can almost hear the proximity to the natural beauty which laid the setting for these intimate recordings. Enjoy, dear friends.
